Employer Information

1.

Contact us to discuss if this is right for you.

3.

All you have to do is complete the job description template with hours of work, rate of pay and email it back to us.

5.

We receive abbreviated applications and forward them on to you.

7.

It is very important that we have the information to advise young people if an employer is interested in them. It is very upsetting to apply for a job and hear nothing.

9.

Arrange a trial period of 4 - 8 weeks; we would suggest initially 25-30 hours a week.

2.

If you would like us to help you recruit a young person we can assist you recruiting via the National Apprenticeship website.

4.

We post your vacancy on the National Apprenticeship Service website.

6.

If none of these are suitable please advise us within a week or ask for contact details of any candidate you may be interested in, let us know via email.

8.

Our advice is to hold an information session for a small group of candidates (usually works better than an interview session), show them around the premises, explain the job role, supply PPC and let them do a simple task.

10.

Wages - at least minimum wage and review every 6 months, which is the incentives for learners to gain skills rapidly and become even more enthusiastic.

Excellent news! Another young fishmonger to help fill the skills gap. The average age of a fishmonger is 65, therefore we must train more fishmongers or face the dire consequences for the industry.

Contact us so we can discuss the fishmonger apprenticeship programme with you, provide you with the Employer's Guide and explain the funding and eligibility criteria. We can then plan the next stage together.
